Nice
Love it
This works very nicely. I really love loose leaf tea, so this is right in my wheelhouse so to speak. I have a pretty large selection of loose leaf teas that are already mixed and some tried herbs and flowers for making my own blend. Something like this is really nice because it strains so well, and it's an "all in one" type of teapot. The size is really only suitable for a single person. You can get one - MAYBE TWO - cup out of it before you have to refill. So if you're doing like I did, and you're taking it out on a tray to site on the porch or in the garden, know that's you're only getting two cups max out of it. I have take to putting in my tea blend, filling up the reservoir and letting it steep a few minutes while I gather things for my tray, I release the magnet and let it strain into the lower reservoir, fill up the strainer again before adding it to my tray and taking it outside. This helps maximize how many cups you can get out of it. I wouldn't use it for more than one person in that regard. This is definitely a single person, single use item. I rec'd this at the beginning of summer so, heath retention hasn't been a question yet. It's too hot for much of a cooling off period.I've really only used pour over strainers up until now, which doesn't let the tea steep too much and can result in a weaker tea. This has been great for getting a really full and bodied flavor out of the leaf.
Cute and functional. Retains heat well. I love the magnetic on/off feature. It feels like a little bit of magic to go a long with your tea. I have not tried it with looseleaf tea or ground coffee yet but the holes are very small so I don't think there would be many dregs slip through.I wasn't sure about this when I selected it but I use it several times a week now!I typically let water flow through, filling it about 1/3 of the way. Then I flip the switch and let the tea steep in the top part for the desired amount of time. I then release that into the bottom and pour a cup, flip the switch again, and refill the top with water and let that brew until I'm ready for another cup. This has worked well for peppermint, raspberry leaf, and sleepytime tea so far.I will try to grab a video and update
